Learning Technologies Gold Award

Gold for imc and the Schaeffler Group at the Learning Technologies Awards in London

imc AG, based in Germany, and its customer Schaeffler Group have been awarded Gold in the category "Best Use of Social and Collaborative Learning Technologies" at the Learning Technologies Awards in London.

Learning Technologies Award 2023 Gold

London/Saarbrücken, November, 2023

Each year the Learning Technologies Awards celebrate the commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies around the world. The finalists were selected from over 450 entries by an independent judging panel organised by The Learning Network.

The joint project between imc and Schaeffler, the "Climate Action Day", convinced the expert jury: From 2040, the Schaeffler Group wants to work with a completely climate-neutral supply chain. The company's own production is to be "green" as early as 2030. However, a successful climate change requires the mobilisation of around 83,000 employees.

In order to kick-start this enormous process of change, Schaeffler organised the "Climate Action Day" with the support of imc: a day on which all production worldwide was stopped for 90 minutes so that employees could exchange ideas on the topic of climate neutrality and develop concepts together. Extensive training and workshops were organised around this day.

The starting point for the learning activities was an animated, integrated landing page with a chatbot, curated content and a direct link to the existing learning management system and Microsoft Teams. Learners around the world were able to access the different learning content, such as training courses and guides, at the same time through different entry points in the portal.

Microsoft Teams integration for imc Learning Suite now available

Virtual collaboration and learning become easier with the
Innovation Pack 14.5

12.08.2020

With more than 75 million daily users, Microsoft Teams is one of the most popular tools for virtual teamwork and video conferencing worldwide. The tool can be seamlessly integrated into the infrastructure of Microsoft Office applications - and now also into the Learning Management System (LMS) of imc AG.  With this combination of learning and collaboration platform, companies elevate their Modern Workplace to the next level.

Integrating learning into the everyday life of the employees and making it as uncomplicated as possible: this is the challenge facing many LnD professionals.  The seamless connection of the two systems now enables learning in the app that employees use all the time anyway to exchange information with colleagues, working together on projects or holding virtual meetings. "The imc Learning Suite will thus become even more flexible, effective and an integral part of a modern, digital workplace for all users," says Christian Wachter, CEO of imc, delighted with the new feature of the Innovation Pack 14.5.

Furthermore, the integration simplifies the collaboration. Amongst other things, learners can exchange and support each other directly in teams, for example, about course content, recommend or curate learning content.

Integrate LinkedIn into imc Learning Suite

LinkedIn Learning is one of the largest online providers of professional development. More than 15.000 courses on business, technology and creativity from proven experts are available in its e-learning platform. Now it is possible to integrate LinkedIn Learning into imc Learning Suite.

21. 04.2020

After the implementation of a Learning Management System, the procurement of learning content is the next big step towards a digital learning strategy. However, creating high-quality courses takes time from experts who often have no experience in creating online learning content. A sensible solution is, as far as possible, to use learning content from external providers. But accessing different platforms for corporate learning often creates confusing learning scenarios and makes learning management more difficult.

Therefore we have worked on a simpler solution and now provide an interface between imc Learning Suite and LinkedIn Learning. Now, our customers can easily integrate the high-quality and diverse LinkedIn Learning offers directly into their blended learning strategy via the imc Learning Suite.

When content library providers such as LinkedIn Learning are integrated into learning management systems, all content isusually loaded into the system in catalog structures. In the initial application scenarios with customers, we have evaluated that this amount of content is often too confusing and reduce userfriendliness. In addition to the desire for an extensive library, another was created: support in selection and the possibilityof integrating content into existing company-relevant learning scenarios.

On the basis of these findings, the integration of LinkedinLearning was realised via an efficient search function with import function, which, in addition to providing content via catalogues, also allows the integration into all conceivable learning management scenarios.
